Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation Aleksei Kudrin met the UK National Audit Office delegation headed by Dr. Daniel Lambauer, Executive Leader, at the site of the XXIII INTOCAI.

The XXIII International Congress of Supreme Audit Institutions (INCOSAI)*, the largest international audit forum, started today in Moscow. Delegations from 169 countries arrived in the Russian capital to participate in its sessions. In terms of the number of participants, it is the most representative Congress in the history of INTOSAI.

The Accounts Chamber of Russia is highly respected by the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) and will be mandated to be the three-year INTOSAI Chair Country at the Moscow Congress, Margit Kraker, INTOSAI Secretary General and President of the Austrian Court of Audit, said in an interview with TASS in the run-up to the 23rd INTOSAI Congress (INCOSAI) to convene in late September in Russia.

Independence from the politics is the most important rule of supreme audit institutions. This was stated in the interview to the TASS correspondent by the Vice-President of the Supreme Audit Office of Poland (NIK) Wojciech Kutyla, who will head the Polish delegation at the upcoming XXIII Congress of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INCOSAI) in Moscow at the end of September.
